CHEPSTOW GARDEN

02

A garden to suit young family garden in Chepstow. The main priority was to create privacy, as this is a new build which can often be slightly over looked. They wanted an area for their two young children to play while maintaining some adult areas to relax and entertain guests. They were keen to experiment with some vegetable growing in their spare time and include a small water feature.

WRAP AROUND GARDEN

03

A complete redesign for a couple in Bristol who wanted to make the most of their large wrap around garden, focusing the bulk of the budget on the back garden. They asked for an entertaining space with some shade provided for dining while maintaining an area for some sun bathing, a lawn for their grandchildren to play and some separate seating areas to create a journey through the garden. With a Mediterranean feel and planting.

LARGE ENTERTAINING GARDEN

04

The clients for this project are an active family with two teenage children. They wanted a garden that provided interest throughout the year and were keen to attract wildlife. One large formal dining terrace and one smaller seating area adjacent to the kitchen/dining area were to be included. They did not want a water feature as there is a river that runs at the rear of the garden; however, they were keen to incorporate bog planting. They wanted a pergola to walk beneath, a small covered retreat to look out over the river and a utility area.

WILDLIFE GARDEN WITH WATER

05

This project was for a couple who are keen gardeners. Their main aim was to attract more wildlife into their garden such as bees, birds, amphibians and other aquatic creatures. The requirements for this design were a still body of water, not including a fountain, a terrace for dining, a second more intimate space close to the water and a small utility area for logs and composting. They were keen to have some native planting with emphasis on spring and autumn interest but wanted some plants that have interest throughout.

CITY GARDEN FOR A FAMILY

06

This garden was for a working family with three children who wanted to use the space to relax and are also keen gardeners. They wanted to include two seating areas; one for dining and one less formal, a pergola to create a more shaded area, a level lawn and a small productive garden with greenhouse. The aim of the planting was to soften the house and the elevations of the veranda. They wanted a soft country feel with all year round interest.
